The TSA Points Trophies are awarded annually at the TSA AGM. Points are calculated on wins at Championship shows during the preceding year (January to December). All trophies are confined to members of the TSA. Click here to return to the home page.

The TSA Points Trophy is awarded to the owner winning the highest number of points across the year.

The Sivas Breeders Trophy is awarded to the breeder winning the highest number of points across the year. This trophy was donated to the TSA by the late Sara Selby whose Sivas dogs had such a tremendous impact in the early days of the breed in the UK.

The Eulyn Stud Dog Trophy is awarded to the Stud Dog winning the highest number of points across the year. This trophy was given by the late Lynne Donaldson, another early pioneer of the breed.

The Rosaree Brood Bitch Trophy is awarded to the Brood Bitch winning the highest number of points across the year. This trophy was given by Major Hubberstey an early enthusiast and one time Secretary of the TSA.

The Individual Points Trophy is awarded to the dog/bitch winning the highest number of points across the year.

The Lou Weller Memorial Trophy donated in memory of the late Lou Weller, Witneylea, is awarded to the puppy winning the highest number of points across the year (points only awarded from Minor Puppy and Puppy classes).

The David Chapman Memorial Trophy was donated in memory of David Chapman who owned the Reinbridge affix and who passed away at a relatively young age. This trophy is awarded to the junior winning the highest number of points across the year (points only awarded from Junior classes).

The Champa Memorial Trophy was donated by the late Gwen Vines (Windameres) in memory of a well known record breaking dog, Ch Windameres Braeduke Champa. This trophy is awarded to the stud dog whose progeny have won the greatest number of CCs during the year.

The West Mount Trophy was presented to the breed by the late Dr Geoffrey Startup. Known to many for his endless patience and good nature, for many years he was the TSA’s PRA tester. He had some personal knowledge of the breed as his late wife owned a Tibetan Spaniel. On his death he donated funds for a trophy which is awarded to the exhibitor amassing the highest number of points from the three TSA shows held each year.

The Veteran Trophy is awarded to the veteran winning the highest number of points across the year from veteran classes at championship shows.

The points system for all the above trophies is as follows:
1st prize in a Crufts qualifying class = 3 points
2nd prize in a Crufts qualifying class = 2 points
3rd prize in a Crufts qualifying class = 1 point
CC = 2 points
Res CC = 1 point
At present Crufts qualifying classes (as per 2024 Crufts qualification) are Minor Puppy, Puppy, Junior, Yearling, Novice, Graduate, Post Graduate, Limit, Open, Veteran & Special Beginners. Crufts qualification, see here.

The record of points for all the above trophies is kept and calculated by Bridget Croucher. Winners are notified early in the following year so that arrangements can be made to collect the trophy at the AGM.

The Copdene Nomination Trophy, the brainchild of Norman and Dorothy Charlton is awarded on a different system as specified by the donors of the trophy. Nominations need to be made on the appropriate form (generally published in the TSA’s autumn publication) and forwarded to the secretary by 1st March accompanied by the entry fee of £1.00. Points count from 1st January to 31st December of that year. Each “kennel” is eligible to nominate one dog or bitch only.
Points from Championship shows with CCs are awarded as follows:
1st place = 7 points
2nd place = 5 points
3rd place = 3 points
4th place = 1 point
Awards will be counted on 50% of the total number of Championship shows with CCs for that year, i.e. if there are 20 shows, 10 results will count. If any entrant attends more than the required number of shows they can select the best results.

Exhibitors are expected to keep their own record of points and forward claims by 31st December each year. Claims will be checked by Bridget Croucher and the winner will be notified early in the New Year so the trophy can be collected at the AGM.
